Here is our version of DIY Hardware Store Bracelets. We haven’t done a jewelry post since we revamped the website and this one is super easy.
First, grab some chain from the hardware store. We chose two different colors and sizes just to play around with – black and silver.
Create three chains the length you desire. We ended up shortening the black links by two links. It was a bit too long.
Then add a jump ring and alligator clasp to one end.
On the other end attach a jump ring to each link, then a jump ring to combine each of those. For this part of the project we used split rings.
Then, randomly attach glass beads to the bracelet with jump rings.
And here you go:
We replaced some of the pink beads with some silver beads on the black bracelet.
Use the same method of jump rings and alligator clip for the silver link bracelet.
And then we added the same pink beads to the silver one because we like them.
Fun project that took about 30 minutes total and less than $10 dollars. And just in case you wondered how much of a mess we make when we work here’s a pic.
Are you working on any jewelry projects? Think you might try something like this?
