It’s been awhile since I’ve allowed myself to go thrifting. I kept telling myself things like “You have plenty of stuff you don’t need more.” and “You need to save money for bills” and my favorite “You are NOT addicted to thrifting. You can quit at any time.” To which I eventually said “HA! I AM NO QUITTER!” Thus I have relapsed and gone thrifting. Despite really not needing any more stuff or to spend any more money. I have no regrets! So here is my little Thrift Haul for this week.
In total I think I spent under 5 dollars and found a total of 5 items. Nothing huge or extravagant, just little trinkets and things that caught my eye. The first of which was a spring… I think. I found one at the local Goodwill and the other at a local church thrift store. I paid around 50 cents for each. I think they are actually supposed to have small glass bud vase type inserts, or maybe they are funky candle stick holders. Either way I couldn’t pass them up. The question now is….what in the world do I do with them?! I want to repurpose them somehow but I’m not sure what I want to do yet.
The next item I found was this cute little metal shelf! I love metal anything and this was too cute for me to pass up. I paid a dollar for it at Goodwill.
My last find is probably my favorite. I found this at the Goodwill on the other end of town for 99 cents. At first I thought it was a small business card holder or something, but it turns out to be a coaster set! Other than needing a good cleaning it was all intact and in good shape.
I love it! This little owl guy (I think it’s an owl) has been keeping me company on my day off from my day job today while I edit pictures and posts, work on art, and watch Sherlock.
So here are all my little thrifted lovelies. If anyone knows exactly what those little spring things are for or what I can repurpose them as let me know! I’d also love to see what neat things you guys find at your local thrift stores. So let me know!
